  • Since the first Festival in 2011, five years ago, 100% of the money obtained by the sales of the Bogotá Wine & Food Festival event tickets has been inverted in social causes.
  • Thanks to this contribution the construction of a recreational center at the Hospital Los Angeles de Pasto was supported and a kitchen was implemented that allows demobilized youth to be reintegrated into the society and learn a trade in the Escuela Taller Foundation.
  • This year the BWFF keeps committed to the training of our young people and this is why the funds collected through the ticket sales will be again destined to The Escuela Taller Foundation in Bogotá .

The Bogotá Wine & Food Festival not only seeks to rescue Colombian gastronomy and bring a festival of international quality to our country. It also has a great social commitment and has been supporting year after year different causes that converge as a country, granting 100% of the proceeds in the box office of the festival to each one of them.

2014

For this fourth edition the money obtained will be invested in the Escuela Taller Buenaventura (Valley) Where the first fishmonger and fishing school will be set up.

 

The project aims to educate fishermen on several fronts including environmental sustainability; To know other species that can be exploited without causing ecological damage, know the size of the specimens, how to fish them properly without being damaged, how to keep them properly in the cold chain as well as helping them in their fair trade.

 

All the money collected at the Bogota Wine & Food Festival Will be invested in this project that leads the Escuela Taller Foundation from Bogotá. Aimed at young people between 18 and 25 who are either at high social risk or in the programs of demobilization of some violent group. Young people who are trained in various jobs such as carpentry, gastronomy, construction, theatrical manufacture, handmade paper and circus arts.

2012 - 2013

We helped build a kitchen to train demobilized people of illegal armed groups, these years the money of the Bogotá Wine & Food Festival ticket sales were donated also to the Bogotá Escuela Taller Foundation , specifically in the kitchen assembly and implementation where students are trained in gastronomy.

 

During its creation, around 120 students have been trained in gastronomy. In addition the kitchen serves for food preparation that all Escuela Taller students consume and also is sold in the restaurant located in the foundation that serves to generate income so that the same foundation has support. says Alberto Escovar, Director of the Bogota Escuela Taller Foundation.

Support was provided for the construction of a recreational center at the Los Angeles Hospital in Pasto which has made possible benefit 5,000 children per year during their hospitalization at the oncology unit
